Nai Yang Beach : Phuket, Thailand

Nai Yang Beach is a quiet beach located in Sirinat National Park nearby Nai Torn beach and only 5 minutes south of Phuket International Airport where you can see the planes go in for landing.
Not one of the best beaches.

This Nai Yang beach is where the Nation Park office are located The beach itself is a long curving bay lined with evergreens that provide shade to picnickers--for which activity this a very popular spot. The large coral reef is home to many different species of fish, and Nai Yang is well known as a only site in Phuket where sea turtles come to lay their eggs during the period from November to February; the population of these has, however, dropped off greatly. First class accommodations are available, and small food vendors cater to the many day trippers that visit.

The casuarina-fringed beach have a few shops, bars, restaurants and a couple of resorts along the beach road. The tourist part of the beach has sunbeds and umbrellas and is very clean, but not so clean outside this area.

There is a large reef one kilometer off Nai Yang at a depth of 10 to 20m for those who like to dive.
